Princess Ariel

Princess Ariel - Simplified

Ariel is one of the Disney princesses and in the tale she was a mermaid. For their vacation to Florida, I made identical dresses for my granddaughter, Brooke, and her friend, Jordan. The dresses needed to be cool and comfy for the Florida heat but reflect an Ariel theme. I purchased two basic T-shirts and added a gathered triple-tiered skirt to each. I trimmed the sleeves and neckline with baby ric-rac and machine appliqued a sea horse to the front.

The Garden Fairy, Rosetta

Tinkerbell's Friend: Rosetta

Here is my interpretation of the Rosetta character's costume, made for my granddaughter, Brooke. I cannot locate a photo taken with Brooke wearing it but I know I have one. Rosetta is Brooke's favorite Disney fairy and this was made for the trip to Disney World mentioned in previous postings. The multi-colored fabric gathered into little ruffles on the sleeves and neckline represents the flowers in a garden. I purchased leggings to match.

The Water Fairy, Silvermist

Tinkerbell's Friend: Silvermist

A few days ago I posted information about a Rapunzel costume I made. This is another dress made for the same vacation. This is my granddaughter's friend, Jordan. Jordan's favorite Disney fairy is Silvermist. This is my own interpretation of the character's costume. Another photo is posted below.

Rapunzel, Rapunzel

In 2011, when my granddaughter, Brooke, was seven years old, her family and another went to Disney World-Orlando for vacation. Brooke and her friend, Jordan, wanted to dress up like Rapunzel when they attended their lunch with the Disney Princesses. This is my interpretation of the Rapunzel costume. I made two identical dresses - one for each child.
